Delaware Elopement Cape Henlopen State Park | Laura + Cody

In the summer months during the week you'll find me at my favorite spot on the East Coast. Cape Henlopen State Park. My husband and I have so many memories there, our engagement photos, countless beach days and trips, stargazing and late night bike rides. When Laura emailed me about an elopement in the Delaware area she spoke of a woody, pine beach vibe. Within seconds I emailed her back mentioning my favorite spot in the world.. Cape Henlopen State Park. Days later Laura and Cody drove down and fell in love with this special spot as just as me. They decided it was the perfect place for a Delaware Elopement, the beautiful rolling sand dunes of Cape Henlopen State Park.

The day had me so emotional seeing the tears from Brooke her sister, the first dances and vows. When Cody saw Laura coming down the dune for their ceremony his reaction was precious. Her brother standing alongside him getting ready to marry the two of them, the day was the perfect amounts of everything you truly need for an elopement. Friends, Family, lots of love, emotions, good food and an epic dance party at the Cape Henlopen Pavilion.

I'll never stop living this day as I drove back to my camp spot that night, because we decided why not stay in our favorite place for a few nights after the ceremony. It's a dream to photograph elopements and head back to a campsite at the end of it. Cape Henlopen, you'll forever hold a special place in my heart and now Laura and Cody's as well.
