How does this work?
For your adventure session, I might take you somewhere new: the hot springs of Oregon, the coral coves in Florida, the mountains of Colorado. Or maybe we’ll go somewhere you’ve been a million times: your favorite coffee shop or street, or the bar where you met the love of your life. My love, passion and desire to seek beauty in all things allows me to see the most mundane places in an exciting way.

Adventures don’t have to be weeks-long journeys into the Amazonian forest. Nope – adventures can happen anywhere. The Wanderer is perfect for capturing whatever your heart calls adventure. Wanna snuggle up and eat pizza on your couch and spin some old records? Sounds magical to me. Rather hike a new trail together? Just pick the spot (or I can!).

Golden Hour
The Golden Hour experience is perfect for the adventure that needs a little more time. Ready to scale that summit you’ve always dreamed of? Pack your bags – we’re taking the weekend! When you’re ready for a getaway, The Weekender offers you the chance to slow down, catch your breath, and make magic out of one little weekend. This is a fully curated weekend experience at the location of your choice, thanks to one of my adventure partners, pro travel agent Hannah Elizabeth. You focus on the daydreaming; we’ll handle the details.

Where did Adventure Sessions come from?
I’ve always been a daydreaming wanderer. I’m constantly thinking about where my next adventure might take me. And though I’ve been an engagement and wedding photographer for years and I absolutely love photographing weddings, I found myself wanting to slow down and explore the magical parts of life that you can only find away from the noise of schedules and deadlines and smartphones.
Before COVID hit, my husband, Derric, and I were set to take a three-month road trip across the country in our school-bus-turned-camper. When things shut down, those plans did too—and so did most of my weddings in 2020. Stuck at home, feeling the itch to do something out of the ordinary, I asked myself, “what are the things I love and miss?”
Photography and adventure. The two go hand-in-hand for me and always have.

Hannah is a professional destination + adventure coordinator. We’ve teamed up because we both have a love for adventure, creating experiences for people, and traveling. She’s the girl who knows all the things about permits, finding the best spots in new places, and has a backup plan for your backup plan. When you book The Weekender Adventure Experience, you’re also booking this girl who will go above and beyond to make sure everything runs seamlessly—a little like magic, if you ask me.

When the shoot’s over and you’ve headed home, feeling refreshed and a little more in love with life, I’ll get to work perfecting your gallery full of memories. You’ll receive your photos in 4-6 weeks.

How many photos will I get?
It truly depends on the adventure session experience you choose, but you’ll never walk away with less than 125 photographs of your adventure together.
What’s the turnaround time?
4-6 weeks is the typical turnaround for your adventure session! You’ll have a preview within minutes of jumping in your car on the way home, another glimpse within 48 hours, and then a full gallery in a few weeks! Wam, Bam!
What makes these Adventure Sessions special?
They’re special because they came from a place so deep within my soul. They were born from my love of adventure and photography and collided into something so magical. You’ll fall in love with yourself, your boo, a new place, or just life in general. You’ll just have to trust me – it’s a special, once in a lifetime experience you can’t pass up.
Are adventure sessions only for couples?
Definitely not! Adventure sessions are for anyone who wants to adventure. Whether you’re a single babe just wanting to feel good and get pretty photos of yourself, a family who wants to experience something together, a group of friends, OR a couple in love. Adventure sessions are for everyone.
I’m a little nervous about getting out of my comfort zone. How do I know adventure sessions are for me?
I totally totally get it. Every single person on my page says the same thing. I’ve been photographing others for 11+ years. Throughout my time behind the lens I’ve been working on my passion for making people feel like themselves and feel comfortable. If you trust me with your whole heart, you’ll feel like we’ve been friends for years and your images will be gold.
What do we do during an adventure session?
We’re going to have a lot of fun! Either we’re discovering somewhere new together or you’re showing me your favorite places. You’ll dance, spin, jump and burn some calories for the sake of the ‘gram if you know what I’m saying. Nothing is off limits!
